Atelier has completed a £12.5m development finance facility to support the construction of 37 new homes in Matlock, Derbyshire.
The loan will fund a ground-up residential development in the Peak District, comprising a mix of private and affordable housing.
Structured over a 24-month term, the scheme will deliver 26 private homes alongside 11 affordable dwellings. The development includes a range of three, four and five-bedroom detached houses and bungalows, all with private gardens and parking.
Located in Matlock, the site sits within one of Derbyshire’s most established residential markets and will offer views across the surrounding Peak District landscape. Future residents will also benefit from access to local amenities and the nearby town centre.
Development finance supports fourth project partnership
The transaction marks the latest deal between Atelier and housebuilder Stancliffe Homes, with the lender now having funded four developments for the developer.
The funding package included a substantial day-one advance to facilitate the land acquisition before construction work begins on the site.
“Having now funded four schemes with Stancliffe Homes, we were delighted to work with the team again on this latest development,” said Rav Kudhail, lending director at Atelier.
“The transaction included a significant Day One advance to facilitate the land purchase ahead of the construction of 37 new homes, reflecting our commitment to supporting experienced developers with flexible, tailored funding solutions.”
The latest agreement further strengthens the relationship between the two businesses, with Stancliffe Homes highlighting the lender’s role across multiple projects.
“We are delighted to be working with the team at Atelier once more,” said Sam Jones, director at Stancliffe Homes.
“Having now signed our fourth funding agreement together, Atelier has become our trusted, ‘go-to’ funding partner. Their professional, responsive, and pragmatic approach makes collaborating a seamless process, and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
The development adds to the flow of new housing projects coming forward across regional markets, with both private and affordable homes included within the scheme.
