Kinland, a London-based developer known for design-led, lifestyle-first schemes, is launching two new projects on mainland Europe.
The sites, located in the Algarve just north of Quinta do Lago and in Les Houches in the French Alps, follow Kinland’s debut London schemes, Eastbrook in East Dulwich and Bristow Mews in Brixton.
In Portugal, the project sits on a cleared, countryside site with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. It will be a full new-build residential scheme of nine villas, with a GDV of €24million, designed with bio-philic principles that reflect and embrace the surrounding natural beauty. Kinland plans to collaborate with local ceramicists and artists, ensuring the development reflects the creative and cultural identity of the region. Planning will be submitted end of 2025.
In Les Houches, a picturesque Alpine village minutes from Chamonix, the €15million GDV project will replace an existing structure with a multi-unit new-build development across two buildings. Here, Kinland will work with specialist joiners and local woodworkers to honour the area’s rich tradition of craftsmanship while introducing a design aesthetic that diverges from the vernacular norm. Planning will be submitted end of 2025.
Both developments will prioritise energy efficiency, low-toxicity materials, and what the developer calls “an integrated relationship with their natural settings.” Oversized windows, generous ceiling heights, and intelligent lighting design are signature features.
