As the global property industry – valued in excess of $600 trillion – embraces technology at scale in the coming decade, significant new financial opportunities will emerge, according to World Property Ventures (WPV) founder Michael Gerrity.

Gerrity predicts a major transformation within the sector, driven by AI, automation, data, and scale. “Whenever industries experience massive disruptions, significant new financial opportunities arise from these dislocations — and that forms the foundation of our proptech investment and development thesis over the next decade,” he explains.

Based in Miami, World Property Ventures operates as a global real estate developer — in the ‘digital realm’ of real estate. Gerrity compares WPV’s approach to that of traditional real estate developers who generate shareholder value by constructing physical assets such as office buildings, warehouses, retail spaces, apartments, and homes. “Similarly, World Property Ventures creates shareholder value by building digital assets to modernize the highly analog, fragmented and underserved global property industry,” he says.

WPV’s digital development strategy focuses on three core areas:

  • Digital Infrastructure – AI-powered real estate marketplaces and search engines.
  • Information Platforms – Real estate news, data, streaming, and signals intelligence platforms.
  • Investment Platforms – Digital real estate exchanges and tokenization solutions.

One of WPV’s operational subsidiary companies today is GLOBAL LISTINGS, currently the world’s largest property listings marketplace onboarding and hosting over 3.3 million active property listings in 110 countries and growing.

Upcoming projects under development include WPC.tv – a global real estate streaming service, WORLD PROPERTY SEARCH – an AI-driven listings search engine, and WORLD PROPERTY EXCHANGE – a fully SEC-regulated digital real estate token exchange.

Gerrity ultimately envisions World Property Ventures evolving into the “Berkshire Hathaway of real estate” in the coming decade, a global holding company with major ownership stakes in top-tier real estate technology companies, digital platforms, and eventually at scale, tokenized real estate assets worldwide.
